To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8514, 1 Approve Plans and Specifications and Authorize Advertisement for Bids, SUIP, Area I. 2 3 Joe Rhein, Bolton & Menk, stated he was looking forward to working with the City on Area I. 4 He discussed the 21-day clause in further detail and noted this language was already included in 5 the plans and specs. 6 7 Acting Mayor Mueller asked if Bolton & Menk would have a representative onsite at all times 8 during the reconstruction of Area I. Mr. Rein stated this would be the case. 9 10 Acting Mayor Mueller questioned if the hotline would still be in place for Area I. Public Works 11 Director Erickson stated the number would be in place and staff would be forwarding this to the 12 homeowners impacted by the Area I improvement project. 13 14 Council Member Gunn inquired how long the interceptor project would take. Public Works 15 Director Erickson discussed the project and noted the portion near Hillview would begin in 16 August of 2016. 17 18 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 19 20 H. Resolution 8512, A Resolution to Consider the City of Mounds View 21 Economic Development Authority Public Financing Policy and Application. 22 23 City Administrator Ericson reported the EDA recommended approval of the revised public 24 financing policies and applications. It was explained the proposed revisions would bring the 25 documents up to date. He reviewed the documents further with the Council and recommended 26 approval. 27 28 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Gunn. Resolution 8513, for Approval to Purchase Two Police Interceptor Police 35 Vehicles and Equipment Setup Costs. 36 37 Police Chief Kinney requested the Council approve the purchase of two police Interceptor police 38 vehicles and equipment setup costs. He noted he had budgeted $78,000 for the purchase and 39 equipping of these two vehicles in 2016. He explained the 2011 Chevy Tahoe and 2011 40 Interceptor Sedan would be replaced with the new vehicles. He reported the Tahoe would be 41 repurposed as the City’s PSO vehicle. He recommended $250 from the equipment fund be used 42 to cover the remainder of the expenses for the two vehicles. 43 44 Acting Mayor Mueller asked if the equipment and supplies expenses included dash cameras on 45
