Resolution 8520, Approving a Revised Job Description and Authorization to 9 <br />Advertise for the Police Chief Position. 10 <br /> 11 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated this item was reviewed by the Council at their February 1st 12 <br />work session meeting. He indicated Police Chief Kinney has submitted his notice of retirement 13 <br />and has graciously afforded the City several months of notice. He reported Chief Kinney’s last 14 <br />day at work would be April 29th. A draft timeline for the advertisement of the position has been 15 <br />reviewed by the Council and the Police Civil Service Commission. It was noted a consultant will 16 <br />be brought on to assist the City with this process. Staff requested the Council approve the 17 <br />revised job description and authorize staff to advertise for the Police Chief position. 18 <br /> 19 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8520, 20 <br />Approving a Revised Job Description and Authorization to Advertise for the Police Chief 21 <br />Position. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 24 <br /> 25 <br />8.
