RESOLUTION NO. 5326 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RECOGNITION OF THE ABOLITION OF THE POSITION OF BUILDING OFFICIAL <br /> WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW DUE TO THE OUTSOURCING OF <br /> BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES FOR BUDGETARY REASONS <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Mounds View is eliminating the position of Building Official for <br /> budgetary reasons; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City will be outsourcing building inspection services and the position of <br /> Building Official in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City will incur substantial budgetary savings through the outsourcing of <br /> building inspection services and the position of Building Official in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the elimination of this position will displace a City employee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Municipal Code provides in the situation of the abolition <br /> of a position that two weeks' advance written notice shall be given. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View abolishes the position of Building Official for budgetary reasons. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT,the City Council directs <br /> City staff to provide the appropriate notice of such Council action, pursuant to Municipal Code <br /> Section 307.01, to the affected employee. <br /> Adopted this day of March, 1999 <br /> Mayor Dan Coughlin <br /> Clerk Administrator Charles S.
