Serves as City Clerk and is responsible for all City Clerk duties <br /> including serving as staff for the Economic Development Commission. Fills in for the City <br /> Manager during extended absences. <br /> ES$ENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 1. Maintains all official documents, ordinances and resolutions. Updates, codifies and <br /> distributes all pertinent documents. Responsible for records management. <br /> 2. Supervises and participates in all election activities, selection of election personnel and <br /> voting places, publishing election notices and election tallies. <br /> 3. Supervises the issuance of licenses in accordance with State laws and local ordinances <br /> and maintenance of all related records. <br /> 4. Serves as staff advisor and facilitator for the Economic Development Commission. <br /> 5. Keeps City Manager informed on all important developments which the Manager will <br /> need to know to function effectively. Assists City Manager with projects as assigned. <br /> 6, Supervises the overall maintenance and upkeep of the Municipal Center and all its <br /> related equipment and operations. <br /> 7. Assists in keeping Department Heads and other staff informed of current personnel laws <br /> and practices. Recommends personnel ordinance updates as necessary. <br /> 8. Fills in for the City Manager during extended absences. <br /> 9. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as are apparent or delegated. <br />
