City of Oakdale $46,632 - $59,784 <br /> POSITION DESCRIPTION <br /> TITLE: Administrative Services Director DATE: July 28, 1992 <br /> DEPARTMENT: Administrative Services REPORTS TO: City Administrator <br /> PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION: <br /> To director and oversee the Management Information System/Computer services (MIS), <br /> Cable/Telecommunication Access and Programming, Document Management Systems, <br /> Clerical/Receptionist Activities, Environmental Management Commission Activities,General <br /> Personnel Activities , and Special Projects. <br /> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: <br /> Typical Function Relative Essential <br /> Time Importance Task <br /> Spent <br /> 25% ADMINISTER MIS FUNCTIONS 40% <br /> • Directs the operation of the City's management information <br /> systems. <br /> • Develops and implements procedures and controls to provide <br /> accuracy, security, quality, standardization and operational <br /> efficiency. <br /> • Provides technical assistance to departments to help define needs, <br /> select and tailor software to needs, and act as a trouble-shooter. <br /> • Coordinates the development of long and short-range systems <br /> planning as a guide to acquisition and development of <br /> enhancements to the department systems. <br /> • Establishes the training program for employees. <br /> • Evaluates and recommends appropriate hardware to serve the <br /> central and Department processing needs. <br /> • Supervises the Computer Operator. <br /> 25% CABLE/TELECOMMUNICATION ACCESS & 25% <br /> PROGRAMMING <br /> • Oversee the administration of the Cable Franchise ordinance and <br /> Joint Powers Agreement <br /> • Provide technical assistance on the use and access to the city <br /> rights-of-way. <br /> • Coordinate the staff and equipment for cablecasts. <br /> • Develop and Produce City Access Programming <br /> Maintains City Bulliten Board and Programming Rebroadcasts <br /> • Serves as City Liason to Cable Commission Stall' <br />
