RESOLUTION NO. 5289 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> SEVERANCE PLAN/PROGRAM FOR CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW PARKS <br /> AND RECREATION EMPLOYEES DISPLACED BY THE <br /> OUTSOURCING OF THE CITY PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is eliminating the City's Parks and Recreation <br /> Department for budgetary reasons; and <br /> WHEREAS, the elimination of the City's Parks and Recreation Department for budgetary <br /> reasons will eliminate the positions of the Parks and Recreation Director and the Recreation <br /> Programs Supervisor; and <br /> WHEREAS, the elimination of these two City positions results in the displacement of <br /> two City employees; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City to offer such employees a severance benefits <br /> package consistent with the City Code, City Administrative policies, and state and federal <br /> statutes; and <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes contemplate that such severance benefits package be <br /> instituted at the discretion of the City Council, subject to certain funding requirements. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View determines that it is in the interest of the City to offer the following terms and <br /> conditions for a severance benefits plan/program to the employees displaced by the elimination <br /> of the City Parks and Recreation Department: <br /> SJR-154632 <br /> MU 125-33 1 <br />
