FORESTRY:
The City of Mounds View is one of 11 communities being recognized for extraordinary Oak Wilt
Disease Control through inspection and containment. This award is being presented by the DNR
at a gathering in Blaine Tuesday, August 20.
Rick's crew is beginning work today (August 1) at Silver View Park trimming bushes and trees.
Whereas SV Park could be an endless trimming project, trimming of the park area and of trees that
obstruct the pathway will most likely be the only trimming completed in the time allotted under
the joint powers agreement.
CABLE TV:
The audio was not working during Monday evenings City Council meeting due to a short in one of
the cables. The short happened during the meeting and it was impossible to repair the problem
during the meeting. The repairs have been made and audio should be working for subsequent
meetings.
Mary S.
FINANCE
• Kitty, Mary and myself met with representatives from Oakdale to discuss their use of the
accounting system that we will be installing within the near future; the meeting was very
beneficial and should assist us in the conversion to the new system. Kitty, Mary and
Dorothy have been busy catching up with items that they were not able to complete over
the last eight months. I have been reviewing budget information as well as normal
ongoing items.
Bruce
•
PUBLIC WORKS
► Larry Decheine continues to inspect the sewer/water installations at Larry Beach's
development on Silver Lake Road.
