COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
• We, in the Community Development Department, welcome Pam Sheldon, the new
Community Development Director, and look forward to working with her on our upcoming
projects.
• August 01, 1996 is Pam Sheldon's birthday! Happy Birthday Pam!!!
• A representative of Re-Map Corporation was out this week to install the latest and greatest
version of the IRIS (Integrated Realty Information System) software on Barb's computer.
If you haven't heard, IRIS is a parcel map-based on-line information service which allows
us to access property information. We even have access to exterior pictures of every
parcel. We currently are able to access not only Ramsey County records, but Dakota
County as well. Washington and Anoka Counties are scheduled to be on-line within
approximately thirty days.
• Cathy and Jennifer met with Mike Gustafson from Wenck Corporation regarding the
environmental inspection on 8265 Spring Lake Road. We are planning to have him
conduct a Property Review Screening to determine if there is an existing well or septic tank
and to test for the existence of asbestos. If a large amount of asbestos is found, we will
have to incorporate the disposal of asbestos into our specifications for demolition.
Joyce
