X <br /> Explanation/Summary(attach supplement sheets as necessary) <br /> Summary: <br /> At the June 3, 1996 work session, staff informed Council of the expense and related long term maintenance <br /> issues related to construction of the pedestrian bridge within the surface water pond adjacent to the <br /> Bridgeman's building. The additional expense of reconstructing the pond is estimated to be at least$40,000. <br /> The estimated cost to relocate the pond to City property are approximately $10,000 to 32,500. <br /> Staff has received two quotes for engineering services to move the pond and proceed through the permitting , <br /> process. The quotes accompany this report and the expenses are as follows: <br /> BRW $7,620.00 <br /> SEH $6,900.00 <br /> •Both of these quotes cover the same scope of project. Neither proposal includes design and construction <br /> services, these would be additional, as would the construction of the pond and related work. I <br /> Staff recommends Council award the engineering study to SEH for the amount of$6,900 to relocate the <br /> surface water pond to City property, in conjunction with the pedestrian bridge project.
