•
♦ Chuck, Julie T., Mary and I met with representatives from Ramsey County Department of
Health regarding possible services offered in Mounds View. They are willing to look at
ways to at least have rotational services provided in Mounds View. I put another call into
Ramsey Action Program which is the non-profit group that operates Head Start. Still
waiting for their reply.
•
• The City was awarded $750 from the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber of
Commerce for the Business Directory in exchange for a full page advertisement. We
have met with the printer and hope to have the project on the press by the end of the
week. Thank you to Lynnette for all of her help in putting together the guts of the book.
• We have received a proposal from Everest for the development of Building N. Chuck
and I will be reviewing the request and hope to be able to bring a solid TIF plan for your
review as soon as possible.
• I am working with a Fridley company who is interested in relocating their facility to
Mounds View. I have mailed a general package of sites available.
Cathy
PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY
PARKS:
• The parks crew has resumed a regimented schedule of grass cutting and athletic field
grooming. Parks trees have been in full bloom this week, providing fragrance and beauty
to the parks and neighborhoods. Parks crew will be spraying in the early morning when
wind conditions are favorable.
RECREATION:
• In-house youth athletic leagues have begun. Neighborhood fields will be meccas for
neighborhood activity.
• Sharie represented the department at Edgewood Open House this Wednesday evening in
the information resource fair, advertising Middle School summer programs and activities
offered through the Mounds View Parks and Recreation Department.
• The Lion's funded bus for recreational activities had its annual check by the Dept. Of
Transportation- and was given a commendable rating for service and use.
