<br />The City has been withholding 5% of the value of completed work, pending completion of the
<br />punch list, verification of all the quantities, and providing all closeout documents. The following
<br />table provides a summary of the total project cost.

<br />The construction contract is based on line item bids and as the Project progresses the quantities
<br />could be over or under the estimate. The quantity adjustments resulted in a reduction of
<br />$54,000 to the contract. In the case of this Project, there were several line items that were
<br />under estimated, which resulted in extra cost. Some of those items include:
<br />• Common excavation
<br />• Main Line Dewatering
<br />• Class 5 aggregate base
<br />• Inline CIPP, 15” RCP
<br />In addition some quantities were over estimated resulting in a cost savings. Some of those
<br />items include:
<br />• Service Line Dewatering
<br />• Select Granular Borrow
<br />• 4” Concrete Walk
<br />• Sodding
<br />
<br />There were four change orders to the contract. Change order number 1 was for installing a
<br />temporary bituminous walk at the corner of Groveland and Arden for the winter. Change order
<br />number 2 was for various water main repairs that occurred during the project. Change order
<br />number 3 was for additional sanitary sewer replacement. Change order number 4 was for
<br />additional work required in repair the lift station.
