RESOLUTION 8685 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A 2016 FELLING TRAILER, MODEL FT-16-2 WHEREAS, as part of the Public Works Department’s maintenance programs, trailers are needed for hauling materials and equipment to perform these needed tasks; and, WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has several trailers in inventory which are used for a variety functions including trailer # 303, which is a tandem trailer and used by all the divisions; and, WHEREAS, trailer #303 is at its scheduled replacement cycle, does not provide the needed support and will be sold at auction, and the proceeds will be used to offset the cost of the new trailer; and, WHEREAS, the City has $12,975.00 in the 2016 stormwater budget in 745-4415- 7030, and the 5 year Financial Plan 2016 through 2020, to purchase a new trailer; and, WHEREAS, staff has obtained a quote from Trueman-Welter under the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture for a 2016 Felling Trailer, model FT-16-2 (deck over) at a cost of $ $12,826.80, plus any applicable license fees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of a 2016 Felling Trailer, model FT- 16-2 (deck over) at a cost of $ $12,826.80, not including any applicable license fees from Trueman-Welter of Buffalo MN. Funded from account 745- 4415-7030. 2. The City Council also hereby approves that trailer #303, be sold at auction to help offset the cost of the new trailer.
