Resolution 8424, Recognizing Eagle Scout Alex Kasporwicz. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Mayor Flaherty read a Resolution in full recognizing Eagle Scout Alex Kasporwicz for his efforts 3 <br />and thanked him for completing his service project in the City of Mounds View. A round of 4 <br />applause was offered by all in attendance. 5 <br /> 6 <br /> B. Resolution 8419, Recognizing Eagle Scout Daniel Niedfeldt-Thomas. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Mayor Flaherty explained that Eagle Scout Daniel Niedfeldt-Thomas was unable to attend the 9 <br />Council meeting. For this reason, he recommended this item be placed on a future meeting 10 <br />agenda in order for the Council to properly recognize Mr. Niedfeldt-Thomas for his efforts. 11 <br /> 12 <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS 13 <br />A. Continued Public Hearing – Resolution 8410, to Consider an Off-Sale 14 <br />Intoxicating Liquor License for ABC Liquor located at 2840 County Road 15 <br />10. 16 <br /> 17 <br />City Administrator Ericson reported the Council opened the Public Hearing on this item at their 18 <br />May 11th meeting. The item was continued due to the fact the business had not submitted their 19 <br />liquor license application to the City. At this point, this was still the case. The City has reached 20 <br />out to ABC Liquor on several occasions and the deadlines were reiterated. Staff recommended 21 <br />that the Council continue the public hearing and postpone action on this item to the June 8, 2015 22 <br />City Council meeting. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Continue this Item to the June 8, 2015 City 25 <br />Council Meeting. 26 <br /> 27 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 28 <br /> 29 <br />B. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing for the Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 30 <br />900, Amending City Code Titles 1000 and 1100 to Remove Language 31 <br />Pertaining to Religious Institutions (ROLL CALL VOTE). 32 <br /> 33 <br />City Administrator Ericson explained Ordinance 900 was introduced by the Council on May 11th. 34 <br />Staff reviewed the proposed language amendment with the Council and recommended adoption 35 <br />of the Ordinance. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance 900, 42 <br />Amending City Code Titles 1000 and 1100 to Remove Language Pertaining to Religious 43 <br />Institutions and authorizing staff to publish the Ordinance summary. 44 <br /> 45
