RESOLUTION NO. 8495 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR <br />STEVE VACEK <br />MOUNDS VIEW PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Steve Vacek submitted his resignation for retirement resigned from the <br />Mounds View Public Works Department effective November 30, 3015; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 7.82 hours; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 20.20 hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Steve Vacek’s current rate of pay is $26.93 per hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 26 of the Public Works Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 20.20 <br />accrued/unused vacation hours x his hourly rate of $26.93 = $543.99 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 27.1 of the Public Works Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be <br />7.82 hours x 50% x his hourly rate of $26.93 = $105.30 into Steve Vacek’s Retirement <br />Health Savings Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves a one-time payout of vacation time to Steve Vacek not to exceed $543.99, in <br />accordance with Article 26 of the Public Works Collective Bargaining Agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $105.30 into Steve Vacek’s <br />Retirement Health Savings Plan in accordance with Article 27.1 of the Public Works <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of December, 2015. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
