RESOLUTION 8243 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2014 — 2016 LABOR AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS GROUP <br />WHEREAS, the previously approved Labor Agreement with the Public Works Group <br />expired at the end of 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Public Works Group held a series of negotiating sessions <br />in an effort to ratify a new agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Bargaining Group has reviewed and agreed to the following terms: <br />1. Article 5: Definitions <br />Standby Duty was redefined to provide for a typical response time of 45 minutes <br />rather than 60 minutes. <br />2. Article 7: Work Schedule <br />Pre -shift pay was increased to $8 per hour with a maximum $32 per shift. <br />3. Article 18: Safety <br />The maximum reimbursement allowed for safety glasses increased from $265.00 to <br />$397.50 to account for the third year of the Agreement <br />4. Article 20: Insurance <br />The City's contribution for health & dental insurance in 2014 will increase to $980 <br />per month. The monthly contribution in 2015 and 2016 would be tied to the <br />subsequent increase in the premiums, if any, as follows: <br />If the Health Insurance <br />Premium Increases by <br />The Maximum Monthly City <br />Contribution will increase by: <br />Less than 1% <br />No change <br />1% to 5% <br />+$10 <br />6% to 10% <br />+$20 <br />11% to 15% <br />+$30 <br />Greater than 15% <br />+$40 <br />5. Article 22: Clothing <br />The apparel reimbursement increased from $96 to $144 and the safety shoes <br />reimbursement increased from $255.00 to $382.50 to account for the additional year <br />of the Agreement. <br />
