LELS 232 Labor Agreement <br />January 27, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />Appendix A: Wages <br />Consistent with the non-union personnel, the City has offered a consistent 2% cost of living <br />adjustment for each year of the agreement. This increase mirrors what other communities <br />have offered to their bargaining groups. <br />In addition, the wages in 2014 and 2015 include an additional increase to account for the <br />market rate adjustment consistent with the compensation study conducted by Springsted. <br />Thus, the wages for the Sergeants would increase by the following rates during the term of <br />the contract: <br />2014: <br />2015: <br />2016: <br />Market COLA TOTAL <br />1.08% 2.00% 3.08% <br />1.00% 2.00% 3.00% <br />2.00% 2.00% <br />It is recommended the City Council approve Resolution 8209 approving the labor <br />agreement with LELS 232 (Police Sergeants) effective January 1, 2014 through December <br />31, 2016. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br />
