Mounds View City Council October 13, 2014 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />C. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing, Resolution 8316, a Resolution to Consider a 1 <br />Residential Kennel License located at 8030 Long Lake Road. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane reported the renters (Amanda Preciado and Tiffany Lenew) at 4 <br />8030 Long Lake Road have requested a residential kennel license. The renters currently have 5 <br />four dogs living on the property and each is licensed with the City. She explained the renters 6 <br />were given permission by the landlord to have four dogs on the property and this letter was on 7 <br />file with staff. She reported a petition was completed by the applicants and public hearing 8 <br />notices were sent to all properties within 500 feet of the home. Staff has not received any 9 <br />comments from surrounding property owners. She recommended the Council hold the public 10 <br />hearing and approve the residential kennel license. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:33 p.m. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:33 p.m. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned the ages of the four dogs. Amanda Preciado, 8030 Long Lake Road, 17 <br />reported the dogs were 5, 4, 4 and 1. 18 <br /> 19 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8316, 20 <br />a Resolution to Consider a Residential Kennel License located at 8030 Long Lake Road. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Meehlhause complimented the renters for following City Code and for 23 <br />receiving the signatures from their neighbors. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Flaherty noted the kennel license will be given to the property owner. 26 <br /> 27 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 28 <br /> 29 <br />D. Continued Public Hearing, Resolution 8301, a Resolution to Approve the 30 <br />2015 Fee Schedule. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane reviewed the 2015 fee schedule with the Council and 33 <br />discussed the proposed changes. Staff recommended approval of the final draft of the fee 34 <br />schedule. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Mueller asked what the animal violation fee was.
