City Administrator 13 <br />Ericson indicated the sick pay hours have now been capped and apply to all new hires. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Mayor Flaherty commented the Council did not budget for this expense. He questioned where 16 <br />the funds would come from for this expense. City Administrator Ericson stated the expense 17 <br />could come out of LGA funds. Resolution 8071, Appointing Brett Brisbois to a Vacant Maintenance Worker 22 <br />(Stormwater) Position in the Public Works Department. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated on February 25th the Council authorized the hire of a 25 <br />Public Works stormwater maintenance worker. She indicated a promotion was completed from 26 <br />within the Public Works Department for Brett Brisbois. Staff recommended the Council 27 <br />authorize the recommended appointment. 28 <br /> 29 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. Resolution 8072, Approving a Revised Position Description and Authorizing 36 <br />Advertisement for Rehiring a Maintenance Worker (Drinking Water) in the 37 <br />Public Works Department. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Public Works Director DeBar indicated with the appointment of Brett Brisbois to the vacant 40 <br />stormwater maintenance worker position, the Public Works Department now had a vacancy for a 41 <br />drinking water maintenance worker. He discussed revisions within the job description in detail 42 <br />noting a pay change would not be required. It was noted the posting would be made internally 43 <br />for five days, after which time the position would be posted with the League of Minnesota Cities. 44 <br />Staff requested the Council approve a revised position description and authorize advertisement 45
