Proper notice was sent out by the City to surrounding properties 2 <br />within 300 feet of Big Top Liquor and published in the City’s official newspaper. She indicated 3 <br />property taxes were current, along with all City utilities and the Mounds View Police and Fire 4 <br />Department issued a satisfactory report. The City had not yet received the criminal background 5 <br />check. Staff recommended approval of the off sale intoxicating liquor license pending receipt of 6 <br />a satisfactory criminal background check. Proper notice was sent out by the City to surrounding properties 25 <br />within 300 feet of SuperAmerica and published in the City’s official newspaper. She indicated 26 <br />property taxes were current, along with all City utilities. The Fire Department issued a 27 <br />satisfactory report. However, the Mounds View Police Department reported SuperAmerica 28 <br />failed a compliance check in December of 2011. Another compliance check would be completed 29 <br />before June 30, 2012. She explained the City had not yet received the criminal background 30 <br />check. Staff recommended approval of the off sale intoxicating liquor license pending receipt of 31 <br />a satisfactory criminal background check and successful completion of the compliance check.
