Mr. Nick DeBar File No. 435-09139-0 <br />City of Mounds View April 5, 2011 <br />Area D – Construction Phase Services Page 4 <br />x Documentation of construction quantities, including coordination with contractor <br />to verify and corroborate as necessary. <br />x Compile information for preparation of requests for payments within the <br />construction contract. <br />x Perform necessary inspections per requirements of the NPDES General <br />Stormwater Permit, including associated reports. <br />x Perform punch list inspections, including preparation of the punch list. <br />(Note: Allowance has been made for an initial punch list inspection and final <br />punch list inspection. Additional inspections would require an increase in scope.) <br />¾Deliverable / End Result:Weekly activity reports. Inspection reports. Initial <br />punch list. Final punch list. <br />Task 5: Construction Engineering <br />This Task is intended primarily for use by Bonestroo design personnel in support of the <br />construction management personnel and to promote effective progress of the <br />construction activities. This Task may also be used by construction management <br />personnel during non-construction periods. <br />x Review of project submittals (i.e. shop drawings, mix designs, etc.) <br />x Coordination with representatives of private utility companies. <br />x Assist City Staff with preparation of materials for the Neighborhood Preconstruction <br />Meeting. <br />x Assist City Staff with preparation of the initial project construction notice to residents. <br />x Assist City Staff with preparation of the schedule of costs for the Private <br />Improvement Program. <br />x Preparation and distribution of construction documents based on the bidding <br />documents, incorporating any necessary developments since approval by the City <br />Council (i.e. comments from MnDOT State Aid). <br />x Revisions to construction drawings during construction as necessary. <br />x Preparation of stake out files for use in construction survey. <br />x Preparation of construction notices. <br />x Site visits as necessary to assist with interpretation of the construction documents or <br />investigate construction conditions. <br />x Interaction with agency representatives (i.e. Ramsey County, MnDOT, RCWD). <br />x Review of testing results. <br />x Review of labor compliance information submitted by the contractor. <br />x Calculation of constructed infiltration volumes. Preparation of reporting to RCWD. <br />x Close out of project permits. <br />x Close out of construction contract. <br />x This Task does not include any activity related to change orders to the construction <br />contract. Engineering services for any change orders deemed necessary to the <br />contract would require an increase in scope. <br />¾Deliverable / End Result:Construction documents. Construction notices. Final <br />report to RCWD. Various correspondence.
