Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 840, Rezoning three properties 12 <br />from R-2, Single and Two Family to R-1, Single Family: (2760 Woodale 13 <br />Drive, 7301 Park View Drive and 7441 Park View Terrace). 14 <br /> 15 <br />Planning Associate Heller presented the recommendation of staff and the Planning Commission 16 <br />to rezone three properties (7301 Park View Drive, 7441 Park View Terrace, and 2760 Woodale 17 <br />Drive) from R-2 to R-1. She noted the rezoning to R-1 would be consistent with the surrounding 18 <br />neighborhood and Comprehensive Plan. Surrounding property owners were noticed but none 19 <br />responded or attended the Planning Commission public hearing. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Flaherty asked staff to contact residents between first and second reading to advise them 22 <br />of this action and date of the second reading. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. Resolution 7536, Approving an Agreement with MN Metro North Tourism. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz reviewed the Council’s past consideration to leave 33 <br />Visit Minneapolis North, a visitor’s bureau, and join the newly formed MN Metro North 34 <br />Tourism. She noted clarifying changes staff made to the agreement and presented staff’s 35 <br />recommendation for approval of the agreement with MN Metro North Tourism. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Mueller noted the contract didn’t specify and asked when does the Bureau 38 <br />provide a copy of monthly financial statements. Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz 39 <br />explained that the statements will be provided at each monthly meeting but the City can request 40 <br />financials at any time. Council Member Mueller supported requiring the reports quarterly if that 41 <br />is what the former Bureau did. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated his concern that the Blaine National Sports Center not get all of the 44 <br />advertisement.
