304.01 304.04 <br /> •CHAPTER '�04 <br /> PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br /> SECTION: <br /> 304.01: Purpose <br /> 304.02: Duration <br /> 304.03: Performance Report <br /> 304.04: Sick Leave and Other Benefits <br /> 304.05: End of Probation; Report <br /> 304.01: PURPOSE: The probationary period shall be regarded as an integral part of the <br /> examination process and shall be utilized for closely observing the employee's work,for securing <br /> the most effective adjustment of the employee to their position and for rejecting any employee <br /> whose performance does not meet the required work standards. (1988 Code §6.08) • <br /> 304.02: DURATION: All original and promotional appointments shall be probationary <br /> and subject to a probationary period of six (6) months' service after appointment. At any time <br /> during the original probationary period, an employee may be transferred or dismissed. At any <br /> time during the promotional probationary period, an employee may be placed in the position they <br /> occupied previous to promotion. (1988 Code §6.08) <br /> 304.03: PERFORMANCE REPORT: At the end of the first three (3) months of the <br /> probationary period, the employee's supervisor shall submit a written report to the <br /> Clerk-Administrator on their observation of the employee's work and their judgment as to the <br /> employee's willingness and ability to perform the duties satisfactorily. (1988 Code §6.08) <br /> 304.04: SICK LEAVE AND OTHER BENEFITS: <br /> Subd. 1.
