• <br /> Funeral Leave <br /> A maximum of up to 3 days off with pay will be allowed following the death of a spouses sons, <br /> daughter, father, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in- <br /> law,brother-in-law, daughter-in-law or grandchild. Regular part-time employees will be granted <br /> three (3) half days funeral leave, as requested. Additional days may be approved by the <br /> department head, taken as needed and charged to accrued sick leave. If sick time is not available, <br /> the additional days may be taken as time off without pay. The number cf additional days taken <br /> off with or without pay will be determined as on case-by-case basis and determined by the City <br /> Administrator. <br /> Time off for the funeral leave of any other relative or friend may be granted by the 11Xp.e Licht <br /> Head, but such time off shall not be eligible for funeral leave pay and shall be charged to <br /> vacation leave or taken as time off without pay. <br /> Jury Duty <br /> Probationary and regular employees shall be granted leaves of absences for mand o <br /> While on jury duty, employees shall receive that portion of their salary which will,togethe <br /> their jury duty pay or fees, equal their normal base salary for the same period. Employees <br /> released from jury duty prior to or at the court's midday break are required to return to work. <br /> Military Leave <br /> Military leave of absences with or without pay shall be granted as provided in Minnesota and • <br /> U.S. State Statutes. <br /> Paid Military Leave of Absence MN 192.26 <br /> Any officer of employee of any city who is in the reserve is entitled to leave of absence from <br /> public office or employment without loss of pay, seniority status, efficiency rating,vacation, sick <br /> leave or other benefits for all of the time when engaged with the reserve in training or active <br /> service, but not exceeding a total of 15 days in any calendar year. Employees should arrange with <br /> their Department Head for this leave as soon as the employee is informed of the dates of the <br /> training or service. The employee must return to work immediately upon being relieved from <br /> training or service unless prevented by disability or other cause not the employee's own fault. <br /> Unpaid Military Leave of Absence <br /> Any employee who engages in active service in any of the military or naval forces of the state or <br /> the United States for which leave is not allowed under the Paid Military Leave of Absence <br /> policy, shall be entitled to Unpaid Military Leave of Absence pursuant to state and federal laws. <br /> The employment rights established by state and federal law will be granted to qualified <br /> employees returning from active service, including but not limited to, returning to the same job • <br /> or one substantially equivalent to the one left. Seniority accumulates while the employee is on <br /> active duty.
