should be carefully reviewed and calculated 1) calculation of vacation, sick leave, and <br /> compensatory time missing from time sheets; and, 2) not signed by employee and/or Department <br /> Head. Department Heads are responsible to ensure that time sheets are properly and completely <br /> filled out prior to their submission to the Finance Department. <br /> The Finance Department will return to the Department Heads any time sheet(s) that are not <br /> completely and properly filled out and not properly signed(Departmen,.;lead and Employee's <br /> signature). In the event of the absence of the employee and/or Department Head on the day that <br /> time sheets are submitted, the necessary information shall be completed prior to either party <br /> leaving. <br /> Overtime Pay <br /> Non-exempt regular full and part time employees are paid overtime for all hours worked kr <br /> excess of 40 hours per work week. Certain seasonal and temporary employees are not eligible <br /> for weekly overtime. <br /> Overtime pay is computed on time worked in excess of forty hours (during a seven day <br /> week) at a rate of one and one-half time their hourly rate of pay. Paid holidays, vacation leave <br /> and sick hours are not counted as time worked for the purposes of computing overtime hours. <br /> Overtime pay or compensatory time will not be paid for time not worked. <br /> All employees defined"exempt"by the Fair Labor Standards Act will not receive cash payments <br /> 410 <br /> for overtime. <br /> Compensatory Time <br /> Compensatory time off in lieu of cash payment is allowed only in accordance with the Fair Labor <br /> Standards Act. Compensatory time is computed at a rate of one and one-half times the hours <br /> worked in excess of the established work week. The maximum total accrued compensatory time <br /> shall not exceed 240 hours per employee. <br /> Accrued compensatory time may be taken as paid leave by non-exempt employees with prior <br /> written approval of their respective supervisor. If an employee is terminated from his/her <br /> employment he/she will be compensated for accumulated compensatory time earned,up to the <br /> above stated maximum. <br /> Call Back Pay <br /> A non-exempt employee called back to work at a time other than a normal scheduled shift for <br /> reasons other than training shall receive a minimum of two hours pay at one and one-half times <br /> the employee's regular straight time hourly rate. Reporting early for a shift or extension of a <br /> shift does not qualify for a call-back premium. <br /> Information pertaining to Overtime pay, Compensatory time, Court Duty, Call-Out pay may vary <br /> for unionized personnel. Specific information pertaining to these procedures is provided in the <br /> respective contract. <br />
