• <br /> ( PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br /> • Golf League registrations continue. Driving Range will open this weekend-weather <br /> permitting. Ads were prepared and submitted to local papers publicizing the golf course, <br /> league activities and general golf information. Tree stump removal of driving range side <br /> areas is occurring to assist mowing activities. Clubhouse staff been scheduled for <br /> answering telephone calls, league registrations, pass card sales and driving range activity. <br /> Both Russ Ruzynski and Terry Friedrichs, both senior citizens have returned this year. <br /> Russ works grounds maintenance and equipment maintenance and Terry works the <br /> Clubhouse. John is working on arrangements to repair the netting that fell due to the ice <br /> storm. <br /> • Jeff was out a few days this week because of orthoscopic surgery to his knee. It was out- <br /> patient surgery, and Jeff has reported that he is doing fine. Steve has been preparing <br /> equipment for parks work to begin as soon as the frost thaws and grounds dry. He has <br /> assisted in activities at the golf course this week. <br /> • We have taken many Spring registrations this week, many over the phone via credit card. <br /> Youth Athletic registration will be held this Friday evening at City Hall. Flyers have been <br /> prepared, counted and distributed to the schools. Josh, our student office assistant has <br /> been a great help with the preparation of flyers. <br /> • Many meetings were held this week including Festival Committee, MVCT, Garden Club, <br /> staff attended the MN Aquatics Workshop, a two bus outing was supervised, and WIC <br /> transportation was provided. <br /> • Applications have been received for summer seasonal employment. The interview process <br /> will begin next week and the following - when many students are home on Spring break.. <br /> Mary S. <br /> FINANCE <br /> • Dorothy and Kitty are working with Waterpro this week. They will be training on <br /> the new system for several days. <br /> • Kitty is working on accounts payable. <br />
