Steve has also been working with an <br /> Eagle Scout candidate on a project at Silver View Park. <br /> RECREATION: <br /> * Activities during the school ' s "Spring Break" were held <br /> during the first week of April. Trips and activities were <br /> offered every day for students. <br /> * Spring programs concluded in May. Registration for summer <br /> activities commenced with the distribution of the City <br /> Newsletter. <br /> * Adult softball leagues began in April. Thirteen additional <br /> teams were recruited in 1994 from the previous year due to <br /> good marketing techniques and excellent league services and <br /> ballfield facilities. <br /> * Summer in-house youth athletic program registrations were <br /> conducted in March. A special youth athletics brochure was <br /> prepared and distributed to parents stating the philosophy <br /> of the recreation youth athletic program and describing the <br /> different leagues. Parks and Recreation Commissioners <br /> participated in the registration process. The whole affair <br /> was successful and informative. <br /> * Summer in-house youth athletic programs began in May with <br /> several Coaches Clinics being conducted in May. <br /> * Applications were solicited, received and interviews <br /> conducted for summer playground leaders.
