Tim Cruikshank will be Acting City Administrator from August 5 through August 19th. Cathy Bennett will be Acting Administrator for the week of August 22nd. Michele, Tim and Cathy will always have a number where I can be reached and I will be checking in weekly. I will see all of you on Monday, August 29th! Samantha Highway 10 Sign The notorious City of Mounds View sign on Highway 10 near Pleasant View Drive that spells Mounds View incorrectly (Moundsview) will be replaced on Friday, 8/5 at 10 a.m. Channel 4 will be present, so they say, with cameras rolling to include this in their community profile segment. The Bulletin and the Focus also said they would have someone present. Focus 2000 Steering Committee meeting The next Focus 2000 Steering Committee meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m. Letters have been sent to the committee members informing them of this. The committee is made up of Dan Nelson, Bill Wilson, Stefan Benson, Bob-Easton and Brian Sjoberg. 5 Year Goal Plan The Focus 2000 Implementation Plan will be delivered to Gary Stevenson today (8/4) and he is planning to have them all delivered by Friday evening. Copies of the Plan have been placed in your in-baskets. Customer Service training On Wednesday (8/3) Georgine Madden from Prosource Training Services conducted a meeting with the City's Employee Customer Service Committee. This Committee, consisting of one person from each department, Barb Benesch from Community Development, Dorothy Peterson from Finance, Michele Severson from Administration, Dave Brick from Police, Sharie Linke from Park and Recreation and Larry Dechaine from Public Works, was created to give feedback to Georgine on some of the customer service concerns of each area. This will help her to create a custom training session for all City staff which is scheduled for the morning of September 14. Tim C.
