There has been several other meeting which I could not attend but the commission
keeps me posted if there is an issue that needs immediate attention. So far I think
the program is having a great impact.
Retention
• I have attached a letter from Minn. Trade & Economic Development regarding
the grant application for Wolf & Associates. Needless to say I was not happy
to hear that all the funds are exhausted before they were even appropriated.
will keep trying to find out what the trick is to getting these funds awareded.
Samantha is having a great time in California. We all miss her and can't wait until
she is back taking care of the every day activities at City Hall!
Cathy
( PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY
•
PARKS:
1 . Next week is the last week that the summer seasonals will be with us. Back to
school they go. We have really appreciated all their hard work in the parks this
summer. Thanks to:
Bill Urbanski - will put on the dress shirt and tie and resume teaching history
at Forest Lake High School.
Bill Norman - will return to St. Cloud State University and will studying
"hard".
Brad Engen - will also return to St. Cloud State University and will also be
studying with zest.
Mike Quick - will be continuing his computer studies at St. Cloud / Anoka
Ramsey wherever he can find the right classes for his major.
They are a great crew and we really miss them when they leave.
2. Jim Hess and I attended a meeting at MN DOT regarding a requirement for the
pedestrian bridge project - filing a historical preservation inquiry. This is the first
of many requirements that we will need to complete with this project. It was
fun to hear about all the other projects going on around the state.
