underground installation. 2) Between 7654 and 7650 Woodlawn Drive. This would be
an overhead installation. 3) Between 7626 and 7630 Woodlawn Drive. This would be
an underground installation. 4) 7610 Woodlawn Drive. This light would be attached
to existing pole. 5) 7618 Edgewood Drive. Attach to existing pole. 6) 7501 Bronson
Drive. This would be an underground installation from the pole to the east. 7) 2201
Hillview Road. This would be an underground installation. 8) 2109 Hillview Road.
Attach to existing pole. 9) Between 2091 and 2101 Hillview Road. 10) 5751 Quincy
St.
Also, to date, additional 1994 requests have been made for: Between 8331 and 8345
Red Oak Drive, between 5249 and 5255 Skiba Drive, 5076 Greenwood Drive, between
7250 and 7230 Silver Lake Road, 2925 Highway 10, between 5067 and 5061 Long
Lake Road and the County Road J/Airport Drive intersection. All of these requests
met the policy requirements and were listed on the Police Needs Assessments. They
all either have been or will be installed by Winter.
Light at County Road J and Airport Drive intersection
The installation of the light was delayed for a couple of weeks because of the trouble
getting the light standard (metal, breakaway pole) from MNDOT. I suppose the least
we can do is wait as long as we are getting it for free. The new completion date is by
the end of September.
Tim C.
Economic Development
Business Retention:
• Mark Malone, Samantha and I had a meeting with the Community Resource
Partnership representatives, Joseph Strauss, Sarah Nelson and Earl Nelson to
discuss the procedures for business retention interviews. Mark and I outlined
our dissatisfaction regarding an interviewer and the lack of knowledge the
interviewers have on the program and Mounds View. Specific concerns with
the particular interviewer will be addressed immediately and Earl will be having a
meeting with all interviewers next week where Samantha and I will give a brief
overview of Mounds View and our expectations of the program.
• I met with the manager of Perkins last week. He was generally satisfied with
Mounds View but would like to see the sign ordinance less restrictive. More
importantly, he was really glad to see a representative from the City visit the
restaurant. He would like to see more City employees and public officials in the
restaurant. Did you know that they now have a bakery with fresh muffins and
pies. Also, for those concerned with time, they offer a 10 minute lunch
guarantee on some menu items. If your meal is not delivered in 10 minutes you
get it free!
