• This week I will be meeting with Dynex, Donatelle's and U.S. Geological. <br /> Outreach: <br /> • Several companies I have met with are interested in information regarding job <br /> training programs available in Minnesota. I will be meeting with the Ramsey <br /> County Job Training Center this week to learn about their programs and <br /> specifically how companies can take advantage of their services. <br /> Marketing: <br /> • The Community Profile will be delivered to City Hall this Thursday or Friday. I <br /> will be sure to put a copy in your out-box. <br /> Cathy <br /> ( PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br /> PARKS: <br /> * City Hall softball field was leveled this week. This field has a tendency to <br /> become washboard-like after time and needs occasional leveling. <br /> * Steve and Jeff have taken over the regular daily tasks of trash removal, <br /> mowing, trimming, park inspections and athletic field preparations for softball, <br /> soccer and football. <br /> * We wish Steve a speedy and complete recovery from a lingering infection. <br /> * Justin Bjur has completed his Eagle Scout project which was the removal of the <br /> old MV planting on the berm at City Hall replacing it with sod. This berm is <br /> used as a "bleacher" area for soccer spectators and the planter had become an <br /> overgrown eyesore and attractive climbing nuisance for young spectators. <br /> Justin did a great job. Steve Dazenski was the supervising staff member. <br /> Steve has supervised many Eagle Scouts and spends much of his own time <br /> meeting with the youth and their families and observing work being done on <br /> weekends. Steve does a great job working with youth and the youth really <br /> appreciate Steve's patience and helpfulness which is portrayed in letters of <br /> thanks from the youths. <br /> * In addition, Steve and Jeff supervised a youth JPTA worker this summer, a <br /> Mounds View resident, who really enjoyed being a member of the Parks Crew. <br /> This boy's father made a special point to stop by the Maintenance Garage and <br />
