FORESTRY: <br /> * Rick is working on the front of City Hall - last week ripping out the old <br /> plantings. He will be contracting stone work to be completed this Fall, with <br /> shrubs being planted in the Spring. <br /> * Rick and Jim helped Steve and Jeff remove the bushes at Hillview and <br /> Groveland. <br /> * All the parks have been trimmed. Additional trimming is going on - it never <br /> ends, and Rick tries to take care of the most noticeable situations, knowing that <br /> there just isn't enough time to do everything that should be done. <br /> CABLE TV: <br /> * Final touches on the Council overhead/podium project has been completed. <br /> * The October "A View From the Mound" is being produced. <br /> * Oliver tapes continue to be ordered, and copies prepared for purchase. <br /> * Jerry is also working on the Safety Camp video. <br /> GOLF COURSE: <br /> * Kurt is looking into an audio alarm system for the maintenance garage at the <br /> Police Chief's recommendation. <br /> * Kurt and Russ continue to mow - the greens and tees having been re-seeded. <br /> Clubhouse construction continues on schedule. It was a good conference and I picked up a lot of <br /> useful information. Socially, it was different because of the new ethics bill. <br /> Gone were the hospitality rooms.
