• Locations were requested for the construction of the outside Material Storage
Bins in the yard at Public Works. The materials were purchased on September
27, Tim P. Gary, Tim F. and Stu will be working on this project.
* The flooding truck was brought to Central Sandblasting for a new paint job
(white). The truck will get a new engine too!
* "North Ridge Villas" - the sewer and water was pressure tested September 27,
1994.
• The Police Parking Lights will be up and running by the end of this week.
Mike
COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
MOUNDS VIEW MOBILE HOME PARK
Staff received a call from a resident of the Mounds View Mobile Home Park this
past week regarding issues she and other residents of the Park are concerned
about. According to the resident I spoke with, water and sewer lines within the
park are in dire need of repair, the drainage easement along the West property line
of the Park is filled with debris and provides an attractive gathering place for teens
involved in drugs, and drainage on the property is inadequate. Staff visited the site
this past week and informed the resident that the water and sewer lines on the
premises were private lines and would need to be repaired by the property owner
(that being the owner of the Park). Also, the entire length of the drainage ditch
was walked and Staff informed the resident that upon consultation with the
Director of Public Works, clean-up of the easement will try and be arranged. The
issue of inadequate drainage on the site is difficult to address. At the time the
Manufactured Home Park was developed, drainage of the property and, its
relationship to drainage on surrounding properties was not given top priority. For
that reason, dealing with the drainage problem now is even more difficult. Staff
will consult with the Director of Public Works on this issue also. Staff wanted to
make the Council aware of this item because the resident (and others) may be
attending an upcoming Council meeting to air their concerns.
