Dick Pellow has confirmed that he will be in attendance at the TNT hearing. I have not yet received confirmation from Steve Novak, but I'm sure he'll try and make at least part of the meeting. Newspaper articles We have copied several newspaper articles for you that certainly present Mounds View in a very positive light in regards to the 1995 taxes. Another article discusses aspects of TIF which you might enjoy. Videos I have received the video tapes of the 1994 ICMA (International City Managers Association) general sessions. The first is the keynote address by Herb Cohen which was truly one of the best of the conference. The second is the presentation by George Will, again an excellent presentation. The last tape is "Reviewing Community/Revitalization Government by John Garner and Robert Kipp. I believe you all will enjoy these tapes. I have started the rotation with Councilmember Trude. Enjoy! Samantha Public Works Maintenance Worker Mark Andrescik has been on board for about a week now. He was introduced to staff at a reception on Wednesday, November 16 and spent the next day and one half going through the new employee orientation program. Mark will be present at Tuesday evening's Council Meeting to be introduced to the Council and to the community. The dismissal of the public works employee has been finalized. A Veteran's Preference Hearing was not requested, making official the conclusion of this process. A letter confirming termination, continuation of benefits information and the last paycheck were mailed to this employee this week. Recycling Intern Paul Harrington and I have been interviewing candidates for the recycling intern position over the past week. Recommendation for hire has been included in the packet. Arbitration Arbitration with the Teamsters is scheduled for 9: 00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6th.
