DRAFT <br /> AGREEMENT NO. "P"P"' <br /> AGREEMENT FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br /> This agreement is entered into between the City of <br /> Mounds View, Minnesota, a municipal corporation, hereinafter <br /> referred to as the "City" , and the County of Ramsey, a <br /> political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter <br /> referred to as the "County" . <br /> WHEREAS, the County, through Ramsey County Public Works <br /> Department, is responsible for the maintenance of certain <br /> ro-adways ±h inheCity-; a-nd - <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the staff, equipment and proximity <br /> to these roadways to provide the routine maintenance <br /> necessary on the roads. <br /> The parties mutually agree as follows: <br /> 1. Services: The services which the City shall perform <br /> are as follows: <br /> a. The city shall provide routine and winter <br /> road maintenance on 3 . 63 miles of County roadways, <br /> as described below. <br /> County Road H2 from W. County Line to T.H. 10 - <br /> 1. 26 miles <br /> County Road I from W. County Line to Silver Lake <br /> Road - 0. 43 miles <br /> Pleasant View Drive from County Road H2 to County <br /> Road I - 0.45 miles <br /> Spring Lake Road from T.H. 10 to North County Line <br /> - 0. 69 miles <br /> Spring Lake Road from County Road H-2 to 79th St. <br /> - 0. 80 miles <br /> b. The term "routine road maintenance" shall mean to <br /> keep the aforesaid portions of County roadways <br /> reasonably smooth and in reasonably good repair <br /> for the passage of vehicular traffic and <br /> reasonably free of all obstructions and <br /> impediments to traffic. This maintenance shall <br /> include such preventative maintenance services as <br /> may be reasonably required to preserve the roadway <br /> in its present operating condition including, but <br /> not limited to, proper and timely crack sealing, <br /> patching, joint repair, street sweeping, rubbish <br /> removal, cleaning and repair of drainage <br /> facilities, mowing of grassed areas, and trimming <br /> of bushes, trees, and shrubs within highway <br /> right-of-way. <br />
