Due to <br /> the strict regulations, handling, and disposal of striping paint, the City <br /> has contracted this service for the past three years . This decision was <br /> made due to the aforementioned factors, and the condition and reliability <br /> of the current striper, and current staffing levels . The cost of a new <br /> striper can range from $4 , 000 to $8 , 000 . One of the contractors that has <br /> submitted a quote for this years striping has expressed an interest in <br /> purchasing the City' s striper. Staff will contact the other bidder to <br /> inform them of the opportunity to purchase the striper. <br /> fl , - <br /> :17 <br /> Michael Ulrich, Director of Public Works <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br /> Staff recommends Council declare the paint striper surplus equipment, and <br /> authorize staff to sell to the highest bidder. <br />
