Consideration of Resolution No. 4792 Approving Membership in <br /> 2 the Anoka County Chamber of Commerce, Staff Report No. 95- <br /> 3 1413C <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reported that the City <br /> 6 should consider membership in the Anoka County Chamber of <br /> 7 Commerce because of its benefits to the City. The Chamber has <br /> 8 established a Hotel Task Force to focus on the issue of <br /> 9 attracting a hotel/conference center to the City of Mounds <br /> 10 View. The Chamber recognizes the need for a hotel/conference <br /> 11 center and would financially support a market fe. ' • <br /> 12 study. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Mayor Linke stated that the Anoka Chamber had been working to <br /> 15 put a hotel/conference center in their area for a number of <br /> 16 years and have had difficulties, but have looked at the Mounds <br /> 17 View area and felt that this Mounds View is a desirable <br /> 18 location. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Samantha Orduno indicated that Mounds View is the introduction <br /> 21 to Anoka County geographically. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Councilmember Trude stated that a hotel/conference center <br /> 24 would be a real boost to the economy. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4792 <br /> 27 Approving Membership in the Anoka County Chamber of Commerce <br /> 28 <br /> 29 VOTE: 5 Ayes 0 Nays Motion Carried <br /> 30 <br /> 31 C. Consideration of Resolution No. 4791, Request for Minor <br /> 32 Subdivision, Susan Powell, 7474/7490 Knollwood Drive, Planning <br /> 33 Case No. 420-95, Staff Report No. 95-1414C <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Joyce Pruitt, Code Enforcement Officer, reported that Sue <br /> 36 Powell, 7474/7490 Knollwood Drive had made application for a <br /> 37 minor subdivision of her property in combination with the <br /> 38 property immediately north of hers at 7490 Knollwood Drive. <br /> 39 Staff has reviewed the application and the proposal meets all <br /> 40 requirements of Title 1200 of the Municipal code as it relates <br /> 41 to subdivisions. Pruitt stated that the property owner must <br /> 42 pay a park dedication fee of $100 and the registered land <br /> 43 survey be recorded with Ramsey County within sixty days of <br /> 44 final adoption. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Mayor Linke introduced Joyce Pruitt as the City's Code <br /> 47 Enforcement Officer. <br /> 48 <br />
