• I have attached a letter from Tim Nelson regarding his negotiations with the
Parons and Kroonblawd's homes on Highway 10. It sounds like he will
continue to pursue these properties.
♦ I met with Morgan Nederheiser who is working on the market demand study for
Charlie Hall this week. I gave him a ton of information regarding the area and
put him in touch with several other people. The study is expected to be
complete in November. I have invited Charlie Hall to come and discuss his
progress at the November work session.
Cathy
PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY
PARKS:
* Steve took care of a problem with the Random heater. Jeff delivered some hay
bales to the front of City Hall.
* Athletic field lining and grooming, spot mowing and trash removal continue
throughout the Fall.
* Work is continuing towards getting equipment and facilities ready for the cold
months to come.
RECREATION:
* A new flag football program for 3rd - 5th graders and some new special
ceramics after-school programs began. Registrations continue to come in for
fail programs and trips that have yet to begin.
* Sharie and Mary were busy with planning programs and preparing the
Newsletter to go to print on October 20. Should be in residents homes on
October 27.
* MEA vacation activities went this week. A kids garage sale took place on
Friday, October 20. Trips to Playworks - Pizza Hut - Maplewood Community
Center Pool (on Thursday, October 19) and Pine Tree Apple Orchard -
Jumping Jax - Children's Museum (on Friday, October 20) also went.
