Their positions were reclassified at that time from foreman to <br /> supervisor and planner to coordinator with the provision that within two years, their positions would <br /> once again be reviewed and Classification changes made to reflect department director status and <br /> compensation. <br /> Mike Ulrich was reclassified earlier this year. Paul Harrington was scheduled for review and <br /> reclassification prior to the end of this year. <br /> Paul has been performing the duties and responsibilities of a Community Development Director for <br /> well over a year without compensation or title change. His performance managing the Community <br /> Development Department and serving as Acting City Administrator in my absence has been <br /> exemplary. It is my recommendation that Paul's position be reclassified to that of Community <br /> Development Director, consistent with his duties, responsibilities and department management <br /> obligations. <br /> This reclassification is recommended at this time according to the long range plan formulated <br /> almost three years ago. The reclassification action is a separate consideration from any <br /> compensation issues involving his assumption of the Interim City Administrator responsibilities. <br /> .4.)
