17.3 EMPLOYEES not choosing dependent coverage cannot be covered at CITY expense for <br /> any additional insurance than the individual group health and group life insurance. <br /> Additional life insurance can be purchased by EMPLOYEES at the EMPLOYEE's <br /> expense to the extent allowed under the CITY's group policy. <br /> ARTICLE XVIII INJURY ON DUTY. <br /> The Injury on duty benefit will be sixty(60) days with the first three(3) days to come out of sick <br /> leave and then sixty(60) days injury on duty. Any days beyond the sixty(60) days will then be <br /> taken from the EMPLOYEE's banked sick leave. EMPLOYEES receiving benefits under this <br /> ARTICLE shall not receive payments from the CITY which causes the EMPLOYEE to earn more <br /> than the EMPLOYEE's after tax take home pay earned while working. <br /> ARTICLE XIX. CLOTHING. <br /> 19.1 The CITY will provide each EMPLOYEE with one (1)winter jacket every two (2)years. <br /> The winter jacket is to be cleaned and kept in repair by the employee. <br /> 19.2 The City will reimburse an employee up to $35.00/year or up to a maximum of$105.00 in <br /> 3 years toward the purchase of one pair of safety shoes of a type approved by the City. <br /> ARTICLE XX. STANDBY DUTY. <br /> 20.1 EMPLOYEES assigned standby duty for a seven(7) day period shall be compensated at <br /> the rate of 7 hours of overtime. When a holiday falls within the seven(7) day period, an <br /> additional two hours at overtime rate shall be paid. Such standby pay shall be in addition <br /> to other compensation the EMPLOYEE is entitled to under this AGREEMENT including <br /> call back pay should the EMPLOYEE be required to return to the City to perform <br /> emergency work. <br /> 20.2 Standby duty will be made available to employees on a voluntary basis. Employees <br /> wishing to be assigned standby duty shall indicate their interest on a list maintained by the <br /> CITY. Employees wishing not to be assigned to standby duty shall not be included in the <br /> equalization of overtime under Article 8.2 and will be placed last on the callback list. <br /> 20.3 The EMPLOYEE on standby duty shall first be offered overtime for which he is qualified. <br /> If it is refused, it shall be offered to other employees in accordance with Article 8.2 of this <br /> AGREEMENT. <br /> 20.4 In further consideration of standby duty, the CITYshall furnish a vehicle for the <br /> EMPLOYEE to take home at his choosing during the period of standby duty. <br /> 8 <br />
