For these reasons vinyl was specified flooring for the bathrooms at Hillview and Groveland Park buildings. * Rinks will only be flooded in temperatures at 0 degrees or above to prevent the chipping that the hockey association complained about last year. * Red and blue lines have been placed at Lambert Hockey rink this week - ready for hockey association practices and other pick up games of hockey and broomball. * The report has been received from SEH regarding the process for permits for installing a culvert for passage across the storm water ditch at Silver View Park. The report will be discussed at the February work session. There is also reference of possible coordination with the Silver Lake Road sidewalk project so it would be nice to discuss both issues in February. Steve Campbell and his crew at SEH is also keeping up to speed on the program. * Mary is recovering from his week of trips with children of the community during the holiday vacation days - one of the trips was an all-nighter at Sports Spree from 9 pm - 6:30 a.m. and then he had a trip that same afternoon. The holiday trips were very popular and successful. * The annual report has been completed, a copy in your packet. This is always a big endeavor, but an important one for us - as a reference and resource document. * This week is our "publicity" week - with flyers being prepared and distributed to the schools publicizing the winter programs. Registrations have been received on a steady basis since a week ago. * There has been an increasing amount of credit card registrations within the last two weeks. I think the cold weather has kept people inside - using telephone credit card registration rather than forging out on the cold. Its a good program.
