* Mary and I will be attending the Youth Serving Providers Network meeting
today (Thursday) at Victoria Center. We will be sharing our opportunities for
youth.
* In addition, we are preparing for participation in the School District Volunteer
Fair being held at Edgewood School January 13. This is an opportunity for
students to learn of the many opportunities for volunteer work.
FORESTRY
* Rick's crew has completed trimming at Silver View Park and because we have
had an over-abundance of time spent on that project in December - more than
our joint powers share - Ricks crew will probably be scare in January.
* Rick will complete grants in hopes of acquiring matching grants for tree
planting.
GOLF COURSE:
* Kurt continues to recover from surgery - has been back to work since January
3 and feels much better.
* The Clubhouse will be the location of the Council Team Building - being the
first activity at the Clubhouse. The council/staff Strategic Planning will also be
held at the Clubhouse.
* Ads fora Manager/Golf Instructor position is being prepared by Tim
Cruikshank in anticipation of publication in later January, with interviews in
February and starting date in early March.
Mary Saarion
POLICE
* We made it through the holiday season. Alot of calls, many arrests, but
nothing really that big. Can't wait until next year.
* Received title on the first vehicle that was forfeited under the DWI law. The
vehicle is a 1984 van. Mike will take the vehicle to the auction to sell.
