* The first meeting of the Community Policing Task Force was held in later
December. Another meeting will be held this month.
* Our new computer arrived. Yesterday, one was installed in Lt. Brick's office.
Pat's computer will be installed when we receive her new desk.
* We are having some problems with our new garage doors. They are not
sealing properly. The contractor was notified.
Tim R.
PUBLIC WORKS
* Well there are many big events happening in Public Works this week, other
than the maintenance of equipment and the shop. Speaking of which, a
representative from Bumper to Bumper, who also happens to be a resident,
stopped in to take an inventory of the filters used by all of our equipment, to
give us a quote for purchasing. After inspecting the equipment, he commented
to me, that he has never seen a garage facility and equipment in such clean
and neat order. Since he visits many such facilities throughout his territory, his
compliment has great meaning. He was happy to see that his "tax dollars" were
receiving such good care. Gary Kardell also received a compliment from a
resident on the condition of the streets in the winter season. He thought the
staff was doing an excellent job. We don't receive too many of these
comments, so it's nice to pass them along.
* Staff will begin to receive quotes or bids as appropriate for the purchases of
1995 capital equipment.
* Bids for wellhead preventative maintenance of wells 1 and 2 were advertised
last week. Staff will open bids next week.
THINK SNOW
Mike
