After a week of acclimating himself to the new surroundings, Peter will
begin work on studying the issues of multi-family recycling availabilities in the City
as well as other Council directed studies. Peter main responsibility will be the
overall administration of the City recycling efforts. Plans are underway for a booth
at the Festival in the Park highlighting recycling issues. Welcome aboard Peter!
HARSTAD CONDOMINIUMS
Within the past month, Staff has been contacted by a builder representing Keith
Harstad. The builder has been contracted by Harstad to develop a condominium
project that was platted in the early 1970's along County Road H2 and Long lake
Road. This plat has been the subject of numerous past discussions between Staff
and the City Attorney. Those discussions focused on the validity of the platted
condominiums and the associated zoning of the property. It seems that at the time
the property was platted, no rezoning of the property (to accommodate
condominium development) was done. However, the plat showing the layout of
the condominiums was approved and recorded by both the City and the County.
