19. 2 The City will reimburse an employee up to $25. 00/year <br /> or up to a maximum of $75.00 in 3 years toward the <br /> purchase of one pair of safety shoes of a type approved <br /> by the City. <br /> ARTICLE XX. STANDBY DUTY. <br /> 20. 1 EMPLOYEES assigned standby duty for a seven (7) day <br /> period shall be compensated at the rate of 7 hours <br /> of overtime. When a holiday falls within the seven <br /> (7) day period, an additional two hours at overtime <br /> rate shall be paid. Such standby pay shall be in <br /> addition to other compensation the EMPLOYEE is <br /> entitled to under this AGREEMENT including call back <br /> pay should the EMPLOYEE be required to return to the <br /> City to perform emergency work. <br /> 20. 2 Standby duty will be made available to employees on a <br /> voluntary basis. Employees wishing to be assigned <br /> standby duty shall indicate their interest on a list <br /> maintained by the CITY. Employees wishing not to be <br /> assigned to standby duty shall not be included in the <br /> equalization of overtime under Article 8 .2 and will be <br /> placed last on the callback list. <br /> 20. 3 The EMPLOYEE on standby duty shall first be offered <br /> overtime for which he is qualified. If it is <br /> refused, it shall be offered to other employees in <br /> accordance with Article 8 .2 of this AGREEMENT. <br /> 20. 4 In further consideration of standby duty, the CITY <br /> shall furnish a vehicle for the EMPLOYEE to take home <br /> at his choosing during the period of standby duty. <br /> 20.5 A schedule of employees and dates each is to be <br /> assigned standby duty shall be maintained by the Public <br /> Works Supervisor. Employees shall not deviate from the <br /> schedule without permission of their supervisor. <br /> ARTICLE XXI. PERFORMANCE REVIEWS. <br /> 21. 1 The CITY will design a performance review form with the <br /> input of the EMPLOYEES. <br /> 21.2 The CITY will perform a performance review on an <br /> annual basis to help guide the employee in areas which <br /> need to be more fully developed and to determine the <br /> job level to which the employee will be assigned for <br /> the next fiscal year. <br /> 9 <br />
