* Just received word that Glen Dawson (former police commissioner)
died yesterday. Services are being held out of state.
* The Chief and a 17 yr old female, conducted a tobacco compliance
check at nine Mounds View businesses. We bought cigarettes at two
places. For more info, contact the Chief.
* Officer Baumgart picked up the DARE Vehicle on Tuesday.
Tim R.
FINANCE
• I will be meeting with our insurance agent, Chuck Clysdale of the Maguire
Agency, on Friday. We will start to gather information to submit to the
underwriters at the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust(LMCIT) for
the renewal of our liability, property and casualty, and workers
compensation insurance coverages. Our renewal date is July 1, 1995.
• Part of the meeting with our insurance agent will be to obtain insurance
coverage for Golf Course operations. Mary Saarion and I will be discussing
insurance coverages for the Golf Course with Mr. Clysdale.
• Finance Staff was hoping to have the auditors begin their field work this
week. Once again they have delayed its start. We hope to see them next
week.
• Dorothy Peterson must have used a very old resolution for the format of
Resolution 4692, the resolution regarding the collection policy for delinquent
utility bills, as the Resolution states that it be signed by the Mayor and the
Acting Clerk-Administrator. Until that faux pas was corrected there was a
sign on my office door which stated "Office of the Temporary Finance
Director."
Don
