MEMORANDUM <br /> MEMO TO: Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Michael Ulrich, Director of Public Works/ <br /> DATE: March 20, 1995 <br /> SUBJECT: Reclassification of Tracy Juell <br /> Since the split of the Public Works/Community Development <br /> department over a year ago, the Public Works Divisional Secretary <br /> position has assumed many additional responsibilities . Listed <br /> below are several of these areas : <br /> - Clerical assignments for all divisions, including Parks . <br /> - Scheduling and maintaining training. <br /> - Processing and granting road restriction permits . <br /> - Specification typing and advertising. <br /> - Accounts receivable and payable . <br /> - Scheduling of appointments for staff . <br /> - Accountability of One-Call locating. <br /> - Maintains Public Health and Hazardous Waste permits and <br /> data. <br /> This is merely a short list of the many duties that Tracy performs <br /> in addition to her other areas of accountability. These tasks are <br /> more pertinent to the duties of a department secretary. This <br /> position is ultimately in charge of all office correspondences and <br /> contacts . Tracy' s exemplary performance of her duties and <br /> responsibilities as the department' s first contact, is a key reason <br /> for our excellent image and efficiencies . <br /> Conversation to reclassify this position had taken place during the <br /> 1995 budget process, therefore funding is available in this year' s <br /> budget . At this time it is my recommendation that this position be <br /> reclassified to department secretary.
