Golf Course I have included in this issue of This Is It the preliminary guest list for the dedication ceremony for The Bridges. Please review it and let me know if there are people we have inadvertently forgotten. Samantha GOLF COURSE GROUNDS SUPERINTENDENT To date we have received 10 applications for this position. The deadline for accepting applications is 4/7/95 and the interview date is scheduled for 4/12/95. LEGISLATIVE HEARING The Mayor, Samantha, Cathy and I attended a Senate Tax Committee Hearing on Tuesday afternoon on a bill introduced by Senator Moe proposing a 'hard' property tax freeze. A large representation of local units of government were present testifying how this law would negatively impact them. The bill passed out of committee and moves to the floor of the Senate next. We will continue to monitor this bill. EMPLOYEE INSURANCE On Wednesday, the PEIP representative assisted employees in filling out the enrollment forms for health insurance. By May 1, City employees will be members of PEIP group insurance. AIRPORT TASK FORCE The Airport Task Force met for the first time on Tuesday evening. Many issues were discussed including the goals of the Task Force. The next meeting is scheduled for May 2 at 7 p.m. A MAC representative will be present to answer questions from the task force members. FOCUS 2000 STEERING COMMITTEE The Steering Committee will meet tonight to prepare a report to present to the Council at the May Worksession. The report will identify which Focus 2000 report goals have been implemented or planned to be implemented and those goals that have not. A copy of this report will be distributed to the Council prior to the Worksession. MAC MEETING Samantha and I will be attending a MAC meeting on Friday at the airport. The purpose of the meeting is to review Chapters 1-4 of the Comprehensive Plan. Tim C.
