Reports of Mayor and Council. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Gunn reported she would be attending a meeting on September 22nd for Beyond 5 <br />the Yellow Ribbon in Farmington, Minnesota. She indicated she present further information to 6 <br />the Council after the meeting. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Mueller explained she would be attending a League of Local Government 9 <br />Meeting September 23rd in Maplewood. 10 <br /> 11 <br />B. Reports of Staff. 12 <br /> 1. Community Development Department Second Quarter Report 13 <br /> 14 <br />Community Development Director Roberts reviewed the second quarter report with the Council 15 <br />in detail. He noted the department was at approximately 40% of the allotted budget to date and 16 <br />revenues were slightly lower as permits were down. Activities of the individual department 17 <br />members were also reviewed. He thanked Council for the code enforcement software as it has 18 <br />been utilized by the department. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Flaherty thanked staff for the thorough report. He questioned if the failed housing 21 <br />inspections had been reinspected. Community Development Director Roberts explained rental 22 <br />housing would have to pass an inspection prior to being occupied. He noted he would report 23 <br />back with further information. 24 <br /> 25 <br />City Administrator Ericson noted he would be meeting with Bethlehem Baptist Church on 26 <br />Wednesday of this week to discuss additional funding opportunities for programs and projects. 27 <br />The Park and Rec Commission would be involved along with the YMCA. There was 28 <br />approximately $14,000 available through the Mounds View Service Fund. He further reviewed 29 <br />several projects that these funds could be used for. He asked if the Council could prioritize the 30 <br />suggested projects, as this information would be passed along to the church on Wednesday. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Mueller reviewed her top three being the Mounds View Community Center 33 <br />ADA sidewalk compliance, the FDM software and the four picnic tables with a concrete slab. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Member Gunn indicated she would be in favor of pursuing the teen center, the video 36 <br />equipment improvements and Y partner support. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council Member Hull noted he would like to pursue the picnic tables, fire inspection software 39 <br />and L screen at Greenfield Park. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Stigney stated the funds could be placed into the general fund and did not have 42 <br />to be spent. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Mayor Flaherty indicated he would call staff with his comments. 45
