Maintain and improve existing public facilities. <br /> <br />2. Continually evaluate programs to ensure they meet the needs of Mounds View citizens. <br /> <br />3. Maintain and reconstruct water, storm water and sanitary sewer system infrastructure in <br />a manner consistent with the Street & Utility Improvement Program. <br /> <br />Transportation <br /> <br />1. Maintain and reconstruct city streets in a manner consistent with the Street & Utility <br />Improvement Program. <br /> <br />2. Work with Ramsey County to develop a plan for the future enhancements and <br />maintenance of County Highway 10. <br /> <br />3. Continue to implement the City’s Trailway Plan. <br /> <br />4. Continue to review desired trail and sidewalk locations and work toward full <br />connectivity in the city. <br /> <br />5. Encourage the use of alternative modes of transportation within the city. Promote <br />providing bike storage options at local businesses and other destinations. <br /> <br />6. Work with the Metropolitan Council Transit Organization (MCTO) to maintain and <br />improve transit service and options in Mounds View. <br /> <br />7. Continue to participate in the North Metro 35W Corridor Coalition for transportation <br />issues. <br /> <br />8. Support compliance with the Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release entered into on <br />May 15, 2000, by and between the City of Mounds View, Metropolitan Airports <br />Commission, and Metropolitan Council that limits the runway length of the north-south <br />runway to its current length of 4,855 feet and prohibits the installation or operation of an <br />Instrument Landing System or Microwave Landing System on the north-south runway. <br />Support continued classification by the Minnesota Legislature of the Anoka County- <br />Blaine Airport as a “minor use airport” and oppose any proposals to expand the <br />definition or characteristics of a “minor use airport,” including, but not limited to, <br />runway length of minor use airports.
