April 13, 2009 Item No. 7J Page 3 Cost Estimate: The letter agreement from Bonestroo identifies three Tasks for completing the City’s required MS4 mapping components. The work for each Task is proposed on an hourly basis. A breakdown of the fee by Task is provided in the letter agreement. Direct reimbursables associated with the preparation of the MS4 mapping, (i.e. printing costs) are also identified in the letter agreement. The total cost for the Tasks 1-3 and the associated reimbursable costs as stated in the letter agreement is $3,100. It should be noted that combining the MS4 mapping requirements with the map created for the LSWMP map results in only one set of maps. The elimination of creating a second set of separate maps results in a savings for the City of approximately $200 in printing costs. Budget / Financing: Funding for the required MS4 mapping components would come from the Storm Water Fund (245-4415-3030). Sufficient funds exist in the adopted 2009 budget for the proposed work. Schedule: Once authorized to proceed, work for the MS4 map can be completed in approximately 2 weeks. The intent is to complete the MS4 map at the same time as the completion of the LSWMP, so that the final combined LSWMP / MS4 map can be printed and submitted with the final version of the LSWMP, due to the Metropolitan Council by May 1, 2009.
